Safe use of live video chat apps: budget, privacy and scam checks
Terms read on 2026-10-14
Short answer
Set a spending limit before you pay, keep every chat inside the app, share no personal details and know your way out. On Lizalive that is Me > Settings > Connected Account > Delete Account, or an email to [email protected].
None of this is specific to Lizalive. It is what we would tell a friend before they open any live video app, with Lizalive's own wording added where it matters.
Money
- Set a monthly limit before you register. Use our 1-minute check for a plan.
- Buy the smallest amount first and keep the receipt.
- Never send money, gift cards or crypto outside the app.
- Lizalive's terms say Coins cannot be exchanged for cash, so there is no way to get money out through the app.
Privacy
- Do not share your full name, address, workplace or other accounts.
- Use an email address you do not use for banking or work.
- The privacy policy says data is kept while the account exists, and some device, location and usage data may be kept for legal, safety and fraud reasons after deletion.
Know your limit, then look
Lizalive is on its own site. Keep to your plan.

People
- Be careful if someone asks you to move to another app or rushes you to pay.
- The terms say other users' views do not represent the company's. Treat what people say about themselves as unverified.
- Read our guide on how to spot fake profiles and bots.
Leaving
You can delete your account in the app (Me > Settings > Connected Account > Delete Account) or by email to [email protected]. Deletion is permanent. See the full guide.

- Write down your monthly limit.
- Use an email address you do not use for banking or work.
- Read what the terms say about refunds and deletion.
- Confirm you are on the real site: lizalive.com or the official app.
While you use it
- Keep personal details private: full name, address, workplace, other accounts.
- Stop at your limit, even if the chat is going well.
- Treat what people say about themselves as unverified.
- Keep every conversation inside the app.
After
- Check your card statement the next day.
- Keep receipts for purchases.
- If you leave, delete your account in the app or by email.
Common scam patterns
These patterns apply to any live video or chat app. They are general advice, not statements about Lizalive.
- Someone asks you to move to another app or share a private number.
- Someone rushes you to buy gifts or send money right now.
- A story with an emergency that needs your money.
- Someone asks for gift cards, crypto or a bank transfer outside the app.
- A profile that avoids any live interaction.
If you think you were scammed
- Contact your bank or card provider and ask about disputing the charge.
- Write to the service's support with the receipt.
- Report it to your national fraud reporting service, such as the FTC in the United States, the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, Scamwatch in Australia or Netsafe in New Zealand.
- Change any password you reused.
Our take. The money rules matter more than the privacy rules here, because money is the part you cannot get back. Set the limit before the first chat.
